Mario C, is the main man. The real lynchpin behind the Bottletop Band and the reason for it existing. He boasts an array of multi platinum selling albums in production duties with the Beastie Boys, Jack Johnson… the list is endless. The most prestigious Brazilian record producer he has also been responsible for the majority of the respected and successful acts from his native country from Seu Jorge to Bebel Gilberto. He oversaw the whole Bottletop band record and was behind the mixing and production of the majority of tracks. The album would not have been possible without him.
Eliza Doolittle is a London based singer–songwriter who has been writing since the age of 12. Her recent debut album reached an impressive Number 3 in the UK charts and feel good singles “Skinny Genes” and “Pack Up” have been critically acclaimed. She features on lead vocals on the Bottletop Band track “One in a Million”.
Gruff is a multi talented Welsh singer and musician, who made his name with the highly successful Welsh band ‘Super Furry Animals’. In 2007 Rhys launched a new electro-pop collaborative project with Boom Bip under the collective moniker Neon Neon. Their album ‘Stainless Style’ was nominated for the 2008 Nationwide Mercury Prize.
Gruff has also recently collaborated with influential hip-hop group De La Soul on a new Gorillaz track titled “Superfast Jellyfish”. He features on lead vocals on the title album track “Dream Service”.
Matt Helders is the drummer for English platinum selling rock band Arctic Monkeys. They are arguably the most successful British act of the modern era and responsible for the fastest selling UK debut album in history.
Helders has recently also been drumming with rapper P Diddy. He plays drums for The Bottletop Band on “Voices”, “Be Together” and “End is the beginning”.
Andy Nicholson is an English musician, best known for being the former bass guitarist of the Sheffield band ‘Arctic Monkeys’. He is now a member of ‘Reverend and the Makers’.
Andy plays Bass on the tracks “Be Together” and “Fall of Rome”.
Tim Burgess is the lead singer of seminal British rock/indie act ‘The Charlatans’. The Mancunian outfit are responsible for over 4 million album sales. Tim sings lead vocals on the track “Be Together”.
